We have been working with modern sport pigeons for 4 years. Sport pigeons possess different features than decorative birds. They are smart, strong and agile. They are able to find their way home even when they are thousand miles away. That's really amazing!

In 2001, our pigeons became absolute champions of Moscow and Russia. Last year the pigeons undertook 12 distances (250-1000 kilimeters).

It goes without saying that 40-year experience and the knowledge of genethics helped us achieve such results. Still, it required hard work—constant participating in competitions, special feeding, veterinary, etc. All our pigeons-champions are the result of breeding and are, in fact, a new race named after Victor Kharlashin. Our pigeons from Kharlashin race took part in all major Russian competitions in 2001. They won various awords and prizes. The birds are 800-1000 distance absolute champions.

Last year our pigeons had an average speed of 93 km/h at 700 km distance race, and one of our birds showed a 105 km/h speed (420 distance race). We have one-year-old pigeons that flew 2500 km last year.

Aport from our hard work, we achieved such great results at competitions due to difficult weather contitions in Russia. The pigeons that are bred in Russia are apt to cold winters and therefore are strong and healthy. Special open-air cages and treatment allow the pigeons to maintain their good shape and health. By spring they are capable of starting training right away. In fact, they birds start training in winter which is very effective. That is why the pigions from Kharlashin race are by far the best.
